How to Get Peace

To find peace in the world
first you have to find it in your home town
and before that in your own house
and before that in yourself.

You have to walk cheerfully through life
finding that of God in every person -
or so the Quakers say
and they should know about peace.

Your life should set an example.
Take the high road,
walk cheerfully through your home town
doing what should be done
and not what is expectd.

Then enter into the suffering of the world.
Go to the Sudan or to Cuba, to Mozambique,
to North Korea and do better whatever the cost.
Every day work hard
and the next day try again
and by your example
you will make peace on Earth.
