IT'S ONLY FEBRUARY

It's only February but the snow drops are already blooming and I want to rake away the leaves and start my garden. All winter I saved all the vegetable scraps from the kitchen for compost. I have saved my seeds from last year. The marigolds, cosmos, lupines and cleome get started early. Cone flowers, poppies, hollyhocks and gloriosa daisies do their own thing. The hard part is waiting until the last frost to put the new plants out, I am eager for flowers. Watching spring come is like magic. The first year I didn't believe the perennials would come up again and now I don't believe how much they spread. I have flowers for everyone.
