Julia is two years old. She is
not terrible. She is merely
focused. At the play ground
the slide is hers. "Mine" she
yells from the top as a seven
year old boy backs away in
horror. Julia has hair the falls
on her head just like her
mother's did. She has strong
leg muscles. She would
rather walk than ride in her
stroller. As we walk to day
care she sees an "e" on a sign.
"elephant" she cries.
She likes day care. Her teacher
calls her "my little sunshine"
Julia likes to play peek a boo.
She likes to dress up in
underwear from her mother's
drawer. "Look at me" she says.
If she is bored I say "Where is
baby dog?" She runs off to find
him. Baby dog wears a baby
nightgown and a doll's hat.
Now it is night. She rubs her
eyes. "Bye bye town, bye bye
TV, bye bye Alex" and she
goes to bed without crying.
